I have been looking for a loan to start my business. I have been turned down by banks and credit union and I went searching for angel investors. This particular investor found me on the Angel Investment network and reached out to me first claiming to be interested in funding my project. His company helps all kinds of business start-ups. I contacted the Angel Investment network to confirm and they allowed him to be an investor that contacts potential projects. He contacted me through the network first then gave his business email to send my proposal and my #’s. He loved the project and said it would be a great investment for his companies portfolio. This seemed like what an angel investor would be like. I transferred the fee for the PPI insurance and I never heard from him again. Stop taking my calls, stop responding to my text messages and I am out $2225.00. Once I realized I had been scammed, I tried to get the wire transfer back. I called my bank, they intiated the retreival and they contacted the bank I wire the money to Capitol One – Account holder: Gerald Akube Acct # 8232618028 routing 111901014 bank address Eldridge parkway Houston , tx 77082- , I called and confirmed the bank was actually there, and I even confirmed it was a real account, they confirmed the wire transfer. I sent confirmation of the wire transfer to him and he confirmed he was putting the wire transfer through then all communication stopped. I was sick to my stomach for days. I am an educated woman, how could have been so stupid. I want to believe so bad that he was looking to help me. I had heard great things about the angel investor network and I hoped this was real. I contacted the angel investor network and they said they would remove him from the investor list. I wish I could get that money back so bad. I barrowed from my daughter who is an active military and the wire transfer went through her account. It was her first check from the military and she wanted me to use to see my dreams come true. I was crushed in all kinds of ways. I have just now gotten the courage to report it because I have been contacted by other "so called angel investors" I know they are scams too.

I have not sent these 2 any money and will not ever
