Type of a scam Other

Kyle Moore came to a small business about a year ago trying to get them to sign up to be able to accept credit cards. After coming three times, they finally agreed to sign up. They don’t use a credit card machine too often because only about 3-6% of their customers use a credit card. When Kyle first came to the business he only showed his business card which says he’s with the ScamPulse.com of Northeast Ohio along with a Cleveland address, yahoo email address and cell phone number. The business said when he signed up with Kyle no monies were exchanged but he had to give Kyle his credit card number and all the banking information for his company. Also said about every two months he would receive a new credit card processing machine which was delivered to his business and each time a new one would come Kyle would then show up to program it and take away the old machine. Kyle never really gave them a reason for why they were getting a new machine so often when there was nothing wrong with the one they had. The last time they received a machine they did try to contact Kyle but didn’t hear back from him. They decided to call the number that was on the machine. When they did so, that is when they realized, and they believe, that they now have at least three different contracts with three different credit card processing companies. They currently have three machines still at the business. They started getting suspicious and started checking their bank account more. They discovered numbers didn’t correspond with what they were told by Kyle about what they would be charged. On more than one occasion they were billed double by two companies. When they told Kyle about this, Kyle said a check was being sent out by the corporate office in the amount of $504. This was a while ago and to date they still haven’t received the check or been able to contact Kyle. They believe that Kyle must be getting a “kick back” from these companies since they was getting different machines, from different companies, approximately every two months. They aren’t quite sure yet of how much money they is out (being double charged a few times, being in contracts with three different companies) but they are still trying to figure it all out.

Kyle is described as being between the ages of 30-35, white male, medium build, around 5’10” with dirty blond hair.
