Caller claims to be attorney. Explains to me he’s trying to collect on a payday loan that I secured with a check in 2012. The loan and debt are legitimate and was for $100. He’s says I now owe $2000 and am being charged as double felony and I’ve already missed court dates. Now the statue of limitations is 2 years it’s been 6 and my case would be a Misdemeanor. So I called the district court clerk and they have absolutely nothing going on in my name, she also said they know about these payday check scams
