I was contacted regarding an office manager position with this company saying that they are opening an office in the downtown area of my city. They have a website that looks professional and even conducted a phone interview for the position. The day after my phone interview they contacted me to congratulate me on getting the position (which I was excited since I have been out of work for a while). He then said he would contact me the following day to discuss my role in getting the new office set up and that he would be sending me a cashier’s check in order to purchase office supplies. During that conversation he asked which institution I bank with so he could let HR know in order to set up direct deposit. I did not provide that information but instead said I was in the process of switching banks. I have most recently received a text from the individual stating that he has sent the cashier’s check and gave the ups tracking number so that I may track it’s delivery. That is all I have for now.
