Type of a scam Tax Collection
All day long I’ve been getting calls from this number on both my cellphone and my landline, claiming that this is the IRS and they have an arrest warrant out on me for taxes owed. They are trying to get money from me to call off the charges and rescind the arrest warrant. I have offered to give them my attorney’s name and office # but they say they are not authorized to call him and the want money from me to call off the arrest warrant and they say that if they do not call off the charges, I will be arrested and picked up here at my address of residence, which they have read off to me. They have been calling me all day about this and they will not call my attorney. What can I do about this obvious scam they are trying to perpetrate on me?
