Type of a scam Employment

I am a college student. I received a legitimate email from a student advisor saying they were looking for survey takers. I signed up for it because it came through my school and so I thought it was legitimate!! Three weeks later I received a very real looking cashiers check for $2500 from Ipsos survey coorperation with a very professional looking Ipsos letter. I looked up Ipsos and it is a secret shopper company! So I thought if the check clears then it’s a real check. Well, it clears the next day and I go do what the letter tells me to do, The letter tells me to text a phone number once the check clears. So I text them. They tell me to go to Walmart and buy two gift cards and then answer these survey questions and email back the gift card numbers with picture and answers to the questions. I bought two gift cards totaling $700. Luckily Walmart had a sign up saying that you could responsible for a fraudulent check in a gift card scam! Now I’m out $700!!
