Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

We received an invoice for URL Internet Renewal $120.00 saying Renew Now. We have never used a search engine directory and we have never heard of this company before. Also they addressed it to our school but listed the web address as our church.

I am writing on behalf of the Galilee Missionary Baptist. The company sent us an invoice as if we currently had an account. We looked for a phone number and/or email to contact them but that is when we realized this was a con or appeared to be a con. So we researched via the internet and see that another company (who posted the invoice on mail) was reporting fraud. I also found a complaint here on the ScamPulse.com site that also corroborate what I am writing today. In fact, the invoice the other company posted is IDENTICAL with the same date and expiration. I do believe they are scamming folks. Please stop them!!!!

The invoice implies we paid for service for the last year and it is time to renew. We do not have service with them. The service offered is very vague and implies failure to renew would remove our business from "search engine directories".

Fraudulent invoice for internet search engine directory listing threatening removal from search engines like google, bing, yellow pages, etc. if you don’t renew now. We are a non profit and nobody here subscribed to services from this company or have a history with this company who is named IRS Internet Renewal Services

Received billing statement for renewal of Search Engine Directory Submissions. I have no such service and it seems lots of businesses would automatically pay something like the attached invoice.

They send out a letter claiming that your search engine directory account is about to expire.

The invoice is search engine services. It says, "being listed on the web requires annual renewal search engine submissions." It makes it look like we paid $147 for this service last year (which we did not), and then lists the renewal charge for this year. Another claim: "Don’t risk being deleted from search engine directories."

The letter includes common search engine logos, like Google, YouTube, Bing, etc.

IRS sent me a bill to renew my account, however, I do not and never have had an account with them. The bill is for renewal of my website, which is prepaid through 2021.
