Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

I received a letter from Internet Domain Services Inc asking us to pay an invoice for domain name holding. The address is from: Internet Domain Name Services Inc 924 Bergen Ave, Suite#289 Jersey City, NJ 07306-3018. After looking up on the web I learned is a fake business and has nothing to do with domains. Beware!

this company sent my husband a Dr an invoice for $180 saying if we don’t pay we will lose our domain, but we use *** for ALL of our business domains. This is extremely misleading and totally fraudulent.

Received a cleverly constructed attempt at getting me to renew my husband’s company’s web domain.

Our domain is not expiring any time soon, despite what this invoice wants me to believe, plus, I have no intention of leaving the company we use for our domain registration.

I pay for my domain name renewals via a company called *** and have done so since their inception and I am up to date on renewals and on payment, yet I keep getting emails, and, now, an invoice via post saying my domain name will expire. This domain name has been updated, renewed and paid for via *** and was done so in July 2018. It is my belief that this Idns Canada is taking advantage of people who don’t really understand domain name registration and renewal, and are double billing them.

Can this be investigated, please.

My employer received a "notices" formatted like an invoice making false claims. the letter stated "Your registration for : insertrandomwebadresshere.com will expire on January 15, 2019" not only did the domain not belong to the business but the domain had not been purchased before so it couldn’t have been expiring.

I received the attached letter in the mail. It looks like an invoice or form to renew my Internet Domain. However, it is not from my domain provider. I read it closely and it says this is to switch my domain. I am a tech guy and I caught this. Any normal person would see this and likely fill in the form and send it in. Not knowing they are switching providers. This is an unsavourey marketing practice that needs to be reported.
