I received a text via facebook messenger from someone appearing to be my friend. I think their account was hacked and I can’t reach them. She told me she received $30K in gov grants. And told me that she can give me the private text # to send them my info. Because the referral came from a friend I was confident that she wouldn’t deceive me. I did send my information but my gut kept telling me no. The one thing I did not end up submitting was my driver’s license. But I gave them lots of personal but not my bank account numbers nor social security numbers. this is how they introduced themselves.
