So my car broke down while I was driving back to Chicago. I was in a panic about what I was going to do, if it made sense getting it towed to Chicago from Indianapolis. I googled car transportation & came across a website for a quote that would have different companies contact me via email to let me know of pricing. I noticed one in particular because it seemed to be the least expensive. I reached out & let them know my situation & the person let me know he would get someone out immediately. I was told there was $95 down deposit (which I paid over the phone via debit card). About a half hour went by & I heard nothing then I reached out & called again, a different person answered me & told me 4 hours now because of traffic & that he would call me back when he reaches out with the driver. Of course, I heard nothing back,few minutes later I called again & then I was told the driver is close. At this point I;’ getting the run around & I call again for clarity, then my calls weren’t picked up ever again as if my number was on the ‘do not answer list’. They took my money & never got back to me at all
They’re tactic is to ensure that that someone is coming out to tow your car but no one actually comes & when questioning them too much they won’t answer your calls anymore.
