Type of a scam Employment
I received an email with a job inquiry/offer from a business called Intec Energy Solutions. The person who emailed from Intec Energy Solutions was asking me to download Google Hangouts for an interview. She asked me interview type questions, and she said that she would get in touch with her supervisor and they would get back to me within 15 minutes or so. I then got a letter from an Anthony Roberts, claiming to be the supervisor of the business, stating that there was an offer letter, and an I-9 form attached. they told me that my W4 form had already been processed, but I never filled out or gave them anything like that.
This was all done through email. These forms were all to be downloaded and filled out by me. They said they would send her a check to purchase a computer, scanner, and all equipment, which needed to be purchased from the business’s vendor. The check has to be deposited within 24 hours.
