Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I received an envelope in the mail. The letter said that I had been picked for a "mobile ads driver." There was a check inside that I was asked to deposit into my bank account; this check was from an ad sponsor. I was to deduct $350 for an upfront payment, then proceed to send the remaining $1,400 by Money Gram to Brewer Kennedy in Arlington, TX. I had 48 hours to complete the sending this Money Gram and I was to send a confirmation email to [email protected]
