Type of a scam Credit Cards
Capital One verified this is a scam letter and to contact the BBB. The web address on the letter states application.capitalone.com. Capital One verified their web address as capitalone.com/application. The phone # on the letter 1-800-327-6592 are asking for your credit card account # and social security #. I would not give them this information so they hung up on me. This phone # is a different # than on the back of the legitimate credit card.
I’m unable to attach an example of the letter because it contains my legitimate company’s address but to the attention of an unknown individual.
