This is the second text I received from this scammer portraying Wells Fargo in two days. I didn’t click on the blue link. I don’t even have an account with Wells Fargo. Typo’s or grammar are typical.

Sincerity instead of Sincerely

Wells Bank instead of Wells Fargo

I deleted it so I don’t have the number. The text said for me to call a certain number at Wells Fargo Bank. My Visa card account had been locked and I needed to call a number to unlock. I deleted it.

On January 31, 2018 I received a phone call stating it was my bank calling. the bank name showed up and the phone number to my bank appeared. the guy on the other end said, "$1,000.00 of my money was being wired as we speak. He asked if I was wiring the $1,000.00. I said no. So he in turn text me a code and he asked me to text the code back to him. then he said by sending the code back to him he would be able to stop the wire from going through. I felt in my spirit that this was a scam. I told him I was driving and couldn’t do anything then he told me this was necessary at this time. he said for me to pull the car over and send him the code. I told him I am going to the bank the first thing in the morning because it was now after 5pm. He didn’t sound too happy. When I got home I tried to get onto my account on line, but could not get on. it did not take my password. I went to the bank on Feb 1,2018 and found out had I sent him the code all my savings and checking would have been wiped out. The bank Associate showed me my account and my password had been changed, my address was changed to a P.O.Box in Sunrise, Florida and also a new phone number was added and mine was no longer in use. When the bank Associate opened up my account it showed the their bank number but he said somehow that number gets clicked over to their number so you think it is Wells Fargo calling.
