Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

Scammer contacted me via email through Credit Karma. Offered loan. I completed on-line application providing my personal information and when I pressed submit, I received a notification that there was a problem with their system and my application could not be processed. Additionally, I checked with the BBB (which I obviously should have done before completing the application) and saw that there were reports of scamming from this business so I attempted to cancel the account that I’d set up but there wasn’t an option to do so. I also called but got a vm; and I sent an email requesting cancellation of the account. I don’t expect to receive a proper response but am concerned that my personal info is out there. Thought that since it was through Credit Karma, it was legitimate. BIG MISTAKE!
