Type of a scam Tax Collection
I have received this call about 15 times and always hang up but finally decided to engage the caller just to see what he was up to. The person had very poor English and claimed to be from the IRS. He was VERY threatening and said I was being sued be the IRS. He had my name and address. He read my case number to me. He said I needed to get an attorney and that I had to send them $7854.25 immediately and he was going to give me an address to send the money to.
I could not contain my anger anymore at this point and yelled many expletives at him and hung up.
This person tried to intimidate me with yelling and bullying. I could see an older person falling prey to this scam.
