Type of a scam Tech Support
My college age daughter called what she thought was HP 123 for support with her printer. The person on the phone told her it was not her printer but her laptop so he would connect her to Apple. The individual from "Apple" then somehow had access to her computer and wanted credit card information from her to pay for Apple Support. At that point she hung up. I called the number to try to figure out what was going on, but they just ran me around in circles. She did not give her credit card info but I’m concerned that he somehow connected himself to her laptop.
