Total money lost $199

Type of a scam Tech Support

I’m constantly bombarded with phone calls from Microsoft or Hotmail Technical support (this is what they call themselves even though Microsoft or Hotmail do not make phone calls to people). I’ve been blackmailed in one phone call when I was told that if I didn’t pay $500 they would close down my hotmail email account and then charge my bank account Debit Card (which this person named although I have no idea how they knew the name of my bank) for terminating my email account. I’ve also lost money from one similar scam where they called to tell me that my computer was being hacked and if they didn’t get $199.00 my computer would crash and the hackers would have access to all of my banking and credit cards! This happened to me before I realized that all of these calls were scams. I don’t understand how these scammers can continue to call me when I’m supposed to be protected on the "Do Not Call Registry". But the calls come so often to both my landline and my cell phone that there’s no way I can keep up with registering every scam call I get! Besides, I don’t have caller ID on my landline so I don’t have phone numbers. I’m honestly at the end of my rope. These calls are all coming from foreign speaking people and they never give up no matter what I say to them to beg them to not call me! I’m disabled and I just don’t have the energy to keep fighting with them. All I can do is keep hanging up, but then they call right back! I’m getting about 15 calls a week!
