I applied for the position of Guest Host on the Homesie website that I discovered via this craigslist posting https://austin.craigslist.org/fbh/d/austin-member-host-week/6961158162.html . On the Homesie website I was asked to submit my social security number and to upload a photo of my driver’s license. I was then asked to submit video answers to job interview questions on the Homesie site. The following day I received an email informing me that Homesie was moving forward with my application and asked me to consent to a background check. The link in the email lead me to a page where I was once again asked to upload a photo of my driver’s license. At this point I became suspicious given that I already uploaded a photo of my driver’s license. I started looking into Homesie and they have zero reviews or anything written about them anywhere. Their facebook page is suspiciously devoid of substantial activity or content.
