I had signed up for a mystery shopper job in Atlanta,GA for Krogers supermarket and received an email from Richard Preis of HireRight saying that they would send me all information to the assignment in a week and that I should text him when I receive it;I just got it and nothing matches up so I checked it out and came across scam alerts here. The companys website is for a different company of the same name, the office address in Atlanta doesn’t exist ,the cashiers check from Directions credit union in ohio is a real location but the zip/postal code for the sender Barbara A Whetstone of Toledo ON (Canada) on it is wrong. So I’m not following instructions to deposit this $2,200.000 cashiers check in my account then text them that I deposited it, then draw my "pay" of $300. in 72 hrs from a Walmart money center or spend $1,900. shopping off a list at that location.

Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I received an email asking if I wanted to do a mystery shop and replied that I did. Received another email saying I was accepted & should look for a package in the mail. I received a priority mail envelope with a check for $2,2l0 and instructions to deposit the check in my account and text that I received their check and had deposited it. I was to deduct $200 for my services and go to Walmart’s Financial Services dept. You are also instructed to check your bank account to make sure the funds are available. Then I was to deduct $320 for my salary and further instructions.
