Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Selling a camper. Got a text saying "Morning. you will receive a check this afternoon or tomorrow morning via ups post office. The check is for $6350.00. So you will deduct $4300.00 for the purchase plus extra $50.00 for your running around. Send the remainder money. $2000.00 to my shipper after check is deposited and clears to off set shipment. Once check clears your bank I will contact you with further information for the rest fund and pick up/shipping instruction. I am having problems with my other phone. This is my work cell phone# and you can communicate with me on this. Phone anytime.

Choose Wal-Mart to transfer and deduct the transfer fee from the $2000.00 Wal-Mart will accept debit card so you do not need to go to the bank to get the cash. Can you please go to Wal-Mart to take care of it soon this afternoon. I got confirmation from my bank this morning that the check has cleared and the funds are in your account. Please do check your account balance on line or on phone to see and text back so we can proceed with the pick up."
I still have the check in my possession as I knew it was a scam.
