Type of a scam Online Purchase

I was purchasing an airplane through a reputable airplane purchasing site and per normal for most purchasing transactions, I wired the downpayment of $10,000. This was a downpayment / to hold the airplane and to take off the market. Purchased a ticket to Atlanta to check the plane out, but have now discovered that this is a well-thought out scam. We had a pre-buy purchase agreement with his signature and exactly what every other pre-buy agreement contract looks like.

His name matches the "N" number of the aircraft – N248CP – and registration of the plane. This plane was found on a reputable airplane selling website. www.hangar67.com. I just found it on another website and it has some different specs and on another website I found today while waiting to board my flight to go to Atlanta, that website has marked the account as fake and fraudulent.

I believe this person is pretending to be Henry Sullivan, and taking advantage of both him and other people like myself. It looks like Henry Sullivan does own the plane that was supposedly for sale, but the person who is making these adds is not Henry Sullivan and taking people’s money. This person is either a pilot or knows his aircraft language and what to say and talk about.
