I applied for the job via craigslist and after about a week I received a text stating it was regarding a job I applied for and it had a link to the job offer. I clicked the link and it took me to the heather davis jewelry and art gallery site to a page titled, Job Offer. This page is a part of the website. When you click the menu tab it is listed there, so anyone can access this page, it is not specific for me. It has a bunch of questions like Name, address, date of birth, and the name of my bank. It asks some job related questions as well. I have not received any further communication from them as of yet. The website lists two phone numbers. One for calling and one for text with two different area codes.

I responded to a job listing on craigslist to a personal assistant. So called, Heather Davis had me fill out a job application on her website before scheduling a phone interview. A woman called me and went over job details. I was going to process payments for the art company and send clients the art. After receiving a text message confirming I got the position I received a follow up email of my first assignment. I received check in the amount of $3,678.55 payable to me. This prompted me to start asking questions, but was told that my weekly payment was going to be taken out of from this. From this amount I was to deduct my pay and send the "auction" company payment for the art. In return the "auction" company was supposed to send me art. I was then supposed to send the art to Heather Davis’ client.

I suspected the check was fraudulent and told Davis that I cashed the check and the full amount was made payable to me. Davis wanted me to the auction company payment through a money transfer site called Zelle. I told them I do not use those types of services. Davis said the only other option was for me to purchase (3) money orders from a postal office for $1,000 each leave the payable to blank. Keep the money order receipt attached and mail the postal office receipt to an address they would provide me to later. I didn’t do any of this because you they wanted me to send ALL the paper trail to them. BEWARE of Ms. Heather Davis and her art job scam!
