Type of a scam Online Purchase

I got an email about CBT, it is the new miracle supplement everyone is talking about. It was supposedly the newest business the Shark Tank investors bought into. They started by offering a free sample, fill out general information and you are led to another page where I could not find the sample option.

But they had a deal for $20, AND it was a 90 day money back guarantee.

The moment I clicked order my debit card alerted me that a charge for $220.00 just cleared my account. The company name listed in my transaction details was like THRVPROSY followed by 16 random numbers.

After that I tried to go to the Healthy Green Herb website… Nope error 404.

I had just moved & gotten new cell service. So I was in the middle of updating my bank account information as well.

My bank had issues “verifying my identity” when I called about the fraudulent charge. They ended up telling me they were really sorry but there was nothing they could do to help at this time.

The bank immediately shut off my debit card, which seemed like a hassle but turned out to be a $440.00 blessing.

The only reason I had any idea they would like charge my card $220.00 on a reoccurring monthly basis is a email I received saying there was a problem with my last 2 monthly PAYMENTS… plural.

I am a single mom, living day to day most of the time.

They would of taken $640.00 at that point, for something I was led to believe was free and only ever agreed to $20.00 with an option to return it.

I got the package and did not even open it in fear that they’d say it wasn’t in the conditionI received it in. I was able to find ONE line of legitimate contact information in the 4 emails I got from them.

Initial email said it was from

CBD Nutrition when I clicked it, it was actually from [email protected]

[email protected] looked promising. I emailed immediately for instructions on how to return it, I got a response with a phone number to call. I called as soon as my time zone caught up to their West coast businesses hours. I got a pre recorded message telling me they were currently closed, to call back during their regular business hours.

I can tell time and have no problem subtracting the 3 hour time difference.

They should have been open. I called back a half hour later. Same. I called back an hour after that and got a message with elevator music saying they were experiencing a high call volume, A customer service representative will be with me as soon as possible. I sat on hold for an hour and a half before I had to hang up. My phone was dying and I was livid.

It wasn’t the only time I called and couldn’t get any help at all.

I’m calling my bank again to try to resolve my issue verifying my identity and I’ll attempt to get the charge reversed again. I seriously doubt it, the bank made their policy pretty clear when I talked to them before, “I agreed to the transaction when I clicked the order button”.

I’ll close my account before I let these scammers get another dime from me.
