It’s often a different number every time they call. But it’s a person with an Indian accent calling saying that they are from a health care professional group wanting to know my insurance information to "qualify" for a topical pain medication or skin cream or other health product. I’ve told them to stop calling me because I don’t want to be scammed but the calls continue daily, each time from a different number and always an Indian accent.
My understanding is once they get personal insurance information, they’ll bill the insurance a great amount and send me a cheap ineffective medicine, and pocket the money they billed to the insurance group.
