I was contacted via a job search website, filled out an application and was accepted. They got all of my info that way. They sent me a check for 2,950.00 from Centric credit union. My bank did research and would not allow me to cash the check because it was not verifiable. The credit union could not verify that it was their client nor if the check was real. I attempted to contact the survey company again and now there is no response from any of the numbers provided. The survey asked me to purchase over 2,000 dollar in gift cards and send them photos. Lucky for me the bank caught this or I would be in major debt. The man who sent the email was James Powell At hay-walls survey inc. please be aware of this. I would have been left broke for the holidays, no gifts for my family. The scam almost entirely took place via text and email. I live in California, but this company is claiming to be out of North Carolina.
