I was contacted 8/24 by Stacey Saldino via my cell phone for a Project Manager position at a company called GFS Machinery LLC on 8/24. I did not apply for this job and she did not provide info about where she found my resume. She set up a 15 minute screening interview at 11:10 on 8/28. At the screening interview, she asked me about my background but did not allow for me to ask about the company. I had many questions because there is no web presence except for the website she provided me via email with the job description. The website is https://gsf-machinery.us.

She told me that I would be contacted by the hiring manager early the next week for another interview. I did not get a call but I receive an email from Adrian Fredriksson, Regional Manager at GSF Machinery LLC with a job offer and details about the probationary period, etc. (I can provide email and documents).

I did more research and found that the same scam had been used in Baltimore – https://www.wmar2news.com/reboundmaryland/job-seeker-out-15-000-in-elaborate-emp…⇄ That company also claimed they were a construction company and there were many similarities in the documents, salary range ($86,000 – $91,000 plus bonuses), etc. The scam basically has you buying multiple laptops on your credit card.

I never accepted the job offer or paid any money but it is clear that the same tactics were used as the Baltimore scam and the same people were called out on the Scam Pulse site.

I am schedule for a telephone interview on 9/4/20, should I do it?

Type of a scam Employment

I believe this company is a scam. They reached out to me about a potential job opportunity as a Project Manager for GSF Machinery LLC. The telephone contact they gave me does not work, and no information can be found about them on the web. Email correspondence with them was shady at best. When I asked for them to give me a call, they indicated that they are busy and have 1,000s of applications at the moment and were unable to call. Yet they were able to respond to my email.
