Type of a scam Other
I have my vehicle listed on Kijiji for sale, and this company contacted me. They said they can help me sell my vehicle. Their business model is that they connect vehicle buyers and sellers and they loan money to buyers who have bad/no credit. Basically, they will list my vehicle for sale, and when someone wants to purchase it, they lend them the money and the person comes to me to buy my vehicle. In order for them to list my vehicle, they said they need $500 (a fee that stops me from selling my vehicle to someone else) that I will receive back when my vehicle is sold. There isn’t a whole lot of information I could find about them. I did speak to a representative on the phone and he said they weren’t listed with ScamPulse.com because there is a fee that, although they can afford, they don’t feel they need to pay because they have a good reputation and have been helping people for a long time. I have no idea if this business is legitimate or not, but from the lack of information available and the strange manner of the representative, I think it is probably a scam.
