Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes
called and said I won a sweepstake for $500,000.00. But taxes had to be paid before could release the check. Taxes was $65,000.00 but the would show I was incorporated and that reduced taxes to $6500.00 plus the were paid in advance so they would pay $5500.00 and I could pay them when the check cleared but I needed to pay them $1000.00 now. Told me to call the Federal Game Authority at 202-800-7719 to check it out and they would have a carrier deliver the check. Oh, there was a claim number G739B236-01. Haven’t seen or heard from them since.
