Total money lost $550

Type of a scam Online Purchase

i was inquiring about purchasing a dog from a Facebook page. They said they could ship the animal to me through a company they have used for many years they claimed. They had me pay them with a reloadable visa from Walmart and take pictures of the card and receipt. After that, they claimed they was going to register the dog to be shipped with the company Global Shipping Agency. They then messaged me and said the dog has been registered and the company will be in contact shortly. They first contacted me through email saying they needed additional money to cover crate changes which i was never informed of from the beginning. They then proceeded to call me telling me they needed this additional money which was $500 more dollars and it was to be paid in form of a Amazon gift card. i knew then it was a scam 100% but, unfortunately i still had paid the original person i had messaged about the dog. He originally said the dog was $550 with Shipping included. i then messaged him back detailing him on what had happened and i proceeded to say i have been scammed and i would like my money back. He then stated he has already spent the money on bills and food and other things for the other dogs and then blocked me on Facebook.
