froze up my computer with a message "internet security alert" Red pop up screen that said call 833-469-5419, gentleman with foreign accent named Jerry Hill with Microsoft answered and said I had a Virus on my Computer. He needed Remote access to get into my computer to fix it.Said I had a virus named MEBOOT and I need a firewall for protection. For $64 he could help. Gave him Credit card info. He printed me a bill and receipt for services. That is why I thought was legit….I understand from others friends this is an old scam….

They notified my mother-in-law that she had “network worms”. They then charged her $64.79 a month for computer protection. They then remotely accessed her computer and installed software she had no understanding of. The best I can figure is they stole her information from her computer.

My Internet browser show malate and a contact number from Microsoft with the phone number 888-580-9077. I believed it and payed almost $400 to repair it. Don’t be a fool like me. Don’t let these criminals scam you.
