Type of a scam Tech Support
I received a call from Global Help *** stating that the rep was from *** and that they were receiving errors on their servers from my computer about the Windows update. The caller went on to say that they needed to access my computer in order to correct this problem. I immediately knew if was a scam so I played along with the caller and said I didn’t have access to my computer. He wanted to know when I would and he would call back. I asked for his number, which he gave, *** and his name was *** *** calling from Murphy TX. The 209 phone number has been used lately in numerous phone scams. Who else should this be reported to?
