The initial message came to me from a friend on 5.18 and continued through 5.28. She asked if I knew what GGF was. She went on to explain it was Global Greengrants fund. She saw my name on a list that I had won a good deal of money. I explained it sounded more like a scam. She said know that she had already received her money and that I should trust her. She made it seem as though I didn’t believe or trust her. I was to use an ATM machine called BITCOIN They sent me a bar code to get into the machine or transfer the money to their account along with the code 14tzkRk6d8KEWuSSQt7zGZj9oGj9eKjnEq. I let them know I had never heard of the bank before. (I did not feel comfortable going where the machines were located.) They instead had me purchase gift cards.
I had asked about taxes. They said there are no taxes due to my winnings coming from a charitable organization. The first fee was for a timing fee, the second fee was for a code to open the money box when it arrived. Then I was texted that my winnings was being held by the IRS and would not be released until I sent 5500.00. At which point led me here recording all the details of what has happened.

I was told by my sister to contact this number and they could help with a grant. She told me he had sent her 6000 so she could pay her shipping to the irs and they would send her 300,000. I only had 700$ so I sent that in order to receive 50,000. After sending the money I was given a confirmation number and tracking info, the next day the guy Dannie Lee told me my money was on hold due to my sister did not pay the 6000, i asked what did that have to do with anything and he told me we were scamming him, He supposedly work for the grant people and he borrowed the 6000 and sent to my sister, My sister kept the money and was not worried about him so he got scammed but i never got my 700 back. I lost 700$ thinking it was legit and he kept telling me it was legit, when I asked for a supervisor he ignored me. I should have known bc he was unprofessional and rude. Wanted me to download hangouts to communicate, i was able to track package and all but nothing came

A Facebook friend of mine instant Messaged me about getting 100,000.00 from GGF and said they saw my name on the list also. I was told by the person posing as my friend to text a Geoff Leeder at 608-352-9536 and he would help me get the money. I contacted him and wouldn’t you know it I was told I could get 100,000.00 for 500.00 or 120,000.00 for 1000.00 and a number of other large amounts. I chose the 100,000.00 so I was told to get 500.00 in eBay gift cards then scratch off the back revealing the numbers and take a pic. and send them to him I got 3 cards equaling 500.00 and did as he told me. He told me also that one of the 200.00 cards I got wasn’t any good so I got another one and sent that to him then he was happy and said I would get my money at 3:00PM the next afternoon.
Meanwhile the person posing as my friend keeps me interested and is asking how things are going with the agent (Geoff Leeder)
I eventually start getting wise to this and ask the person posing as my friend personal questions that only she would know and they start getting "insulted"
Early in the afternoon of May 9th when the money is to be delivered at 3:00 I get a text from Geoff Leeder telling me the IRS has stopped the FedEx group delivering my money saying I need to pay 2500.00 in taxes before it can be delivered at that point I wasn’t going to give them anything.
I still have all the texts from both the person posing as my friend and from Geoff Leeder.

On March 25,2020 I received a message from a long time friend that I haven’t seen in over 30 yrs. We have not messaged before but are friends on facebook. She asked if I had applied for the new grant available to help retirees, handicapped etc. She said it had really helped their family. She gave me a phone # to call and check out how it works. I did call, the phone said the call came from Texas. The grant agent sent me
messages telling me how the program works. We have a lot of credit card debt that I have been worried about. Unfortunately I was suckered into his scam and I sent $1500.00 through pay pal. I only had this money because of our stimulus check. The grant money was to be delivered in 24 hrs. The next day I was told I had to pay $9550.00 to receive the $60,000.00 at delivery by Fed X. I told the agent I couldn’t do that. He continued to suggest ways he thought I should be able to come up with the money. I had found my old friends phone number and called her, she never messaged me about the grant. I told the agent I knew it was a scam! Then I told I him I had talked to her and knew it was a scam! He swore it wasn’t. I got messages again May 2nd, he wanted to set my grant up differently so I would only need $1350.00 to process a check at my bank. I kept him going back and forth for some time. Finally I told him I knew it was a scam and that It was on me that I had sent the money. I told him I was just wasting his time while he tried every way he could to hook me into giving him more money. Then I told him I would pray he could find a legitimate job and turn his life around.

I have been conversing with someone who I believe to have hacked a friends account pressuring my to apply for a grant. I asked for more than just an email address and facebook messenger account. They said they can’t have a website for security reasons. If you get a messenger request for GlobalGreen Grant Fund (GGF) please report it. The first messenger conversation was deleted on their end after I questioned. A second message from the same person was started and I was given an email address. The lady who is supposed to be the person of contact, her name is not spelled the same as the internet. Any questions, I can show pictures.

Received a friend request from someone I know, but haven’t seen in several years. I confirmed. He sent me a message via Messenger immediately asking how I’m doing. I replied and mentioned something about the church we had both attended for a long time. He didn’t respond to my comment, which I thought was a little strange. He asked me if I’d heard anything about what he’d won. Then he explained about the grants from GGF and told me to text the above number and say I’d heard about them from a friend. There was a back and forth with them. They said I’d qualify but they needed some type of a card that I haven’t heard of from Walmart in the amount of $450. I said that wasn’t possible and then checked your website. I texted back that I believe they were scammers and I was done. They sent several more texts trying to convince me it wasn’t a scan. I haven’t replied.

The scan came through my friends messenger account I just found out today she had canceled her account so someone open or re-open her account I was told via messenger that the GCF program gives out money to help people maintain a good standard of living eradicate poverty and empower people the woman’s name is Gina McCarthy working as an Online cleaning agent and consulting officer at GGF global Green grant fun this program supposedly is supported and monitored by the worldwide federal agencies and you apply via your phone they sent information and you fill it out and they say that you can only benefit one time within three years it’s somewhat seem to be legit and I gave out some personal information, not soc sec or bank info.
What struck a chord was when it says I need to confirm that I will not involve any third-party in this until my money has been delivered that it says important notice due to the mixup with some names and numbers we urge you to keep this strictly from public notice or any third party and then they boarded delivery details ticket number serial number reference number and then it says that I qualify for $100,000 but I would have to pay the sum of $850 for the UPS courier to deliver and case file thing so he also says it will be delivered to your home address in nine hours.
I am so disappointed in myself and I’m glad I didn’t give out other information but what they have is enough to make an ideas so so now I have to really be careful

Contacted via Facebook Messenger by a friend’s account that was hacked. Message asked if I had heard about G.F. Program-Global Grant Fund Program that gives out money to help people maintain good standard of living and eradicate poverty. Link took me to another Facebook messenger account that got me in contact with Tayana Ponder who told me to send $1,500-two payments of $750. She said money would be for tax and clearing fund fees and that I would win $150,000. I was told to send the money via Western Union which I promptly did. Cash delivery was said to be delivered in 24 hours. After I wired the money I had time to think about the transaction and realized it was probably a scam. Tayana kept messaging me and was very persistent which made me realize I had been scammed. Fortunately I was able to talk to my bank and get my money back!
