First Energy they have been calling daily using different caller ID, from Hospital to Attorney and local phone numbers. The last one was a local Hospital.
I have advised them I do not do business with company’s that do not follow the do not call register. They advised me they would call me daily until I sign up. Heavy foreign accents . If this is not First Energy but scammers, I would hope First Energy is doing everything they can to shut them down.

I received a phone call and caller ID did say First Energy so I answered to be told that they were 45 minutes out from shutting electricity off due to non-payment (we are on autopay so it’s paid automatically and has been for YEARS) so I argued with them. They insisted that we pay the past due balance and let a "financial investigation" happen to reimburse us at a later date. Also said that we’d get one month free service if there had been a mistake (dead give away that it was a scam). I continued to argue and was told to show the technician who was to do shut off the proof of payment, and that the "Financial" department would call to collect information on our payments. The technician never showed, I never received a call from anyone to do an investigation of payments. I decided to call again since it was more and more like a scam so that I could get as much information on them as possible. Afterwards I called the Toledo Edison number that I deal with regularly as a property manager and confirmed that it is a scam as we thought.

The phone rang at my work, It was a recording. The recording stated the call was from First Energy and our electric service would be disconnected in 30 minutes due to a past due balance. We have local city utilities first of all. I tried to call the number and got a all circuits busy. Tried the number again later and got recording, hit number to find locations and hours near my location, a man answered and asked how he could direct my call, when I told him he proceeded to say rude vulgar words in response. I hope these scammers get tracked down and busted. Thanks

The past five days I have received several robocalls on my landline. I always answer the call. The call states we are calling about your electric bill. As a First Energy Client you may be eligible for a discount or rebate of some type. Another message states something about my latest bill. It states if I do not want to be contacted to press a certain number. I do not press a number I just hang up. I do not know what phone number they are calling from. I do not have First Energy. This does not apply to me. I do not have caller ID, I wanted to report the call.

Imposter called our business stating our electric would be turned off within the hour as we had not responded to a "discrepancy" of a bill that was unpaid in October. Because our account is on Auto-pay, we knew something was wrong. They demanded that someone from our office come to South Main street in Akron to pay $490 to avoid shut off. We immediately called the number on our First Energy Bill and they confirmed this was a scam.
