Was contacted via text to give estimate for a privacy fence.
The texts followed all the typical signs of scam. Misspelled words and bad grammar. Then stated that the work couldn’t begin until an amount was paid to the previous home owner. My work estimate was for $1500. He said he was going to send $6100. $1500 for me plus a $100 tip. And I would need to send $4500 to the previous owner. The scam hasn’t been completed as of yet. He told me he would give me the credit card information on Monday May 14th 2018. I am still leading him on to see how far the scam goes. If he sends me a credit card number I will take it to my bank and have them look into it.
