Type of a scam Employment

I’m a stay at home mother of two looking for employment with flexible hours and/or the ability to work from home. I’m not sure how but someone named Max Brown from HomeType.org obtained my phone number and contacted me on February 14, 2018. I didn’t answer the call because it was from a number I didn’t recognize so I let it go to my voicemail. Well, today as I was catching up on my emails and messages I got to a message with a phone number originating from Bethesda, MD (USA).. I didn’t know who it could’ve been but I decided to check it before deleting. This message was from a man who stated his name to be Max Brown and he was from HomeType.org.. he informed me that I ‘needed to complete your application for the $75.00/hr. job posting links on Facebook and Google.’ and to ‘Please go back to HomeType.org- thats Home T-Y-P-E- .org to finish your application.’ – I have no recollection of such profile/application/website/job etc. but I decided to research this hometype.org – the first place I checked was bbb.org of course, but there wasn’t any information. So I kept looking around online and even decided to go to the actual web-address provided on my voicemail message. The web-address brought me to a website that looked somewhat legit- except the web-address I initially typed in didn’t take me to home type.org, I was seamlessly redirected to an entirely different page. After reading the article I decided to keep exploring and I clicked the page to see if I ‘qualified’ (which I did of course) and from there I was redirected to ‘Facebook On Fire/ FBonFire.com. A video immediately began playing and this man began to speak of some kind of Advertising Loop-Hole on Facebook- he even through in a $500.00 incentive for watching the video to the end!.. I personally didn’t finish the video but while it was playing I decided to start checking Google. I figured there HAD to be something, somewhere about this on the internet.. and there was. I discovered literally HUNDREDS of websites, blogs, reviews etc. warning people that this wasn’t a legitimate opportunity. It wasn’t an Job Offer, you won’t get paid, you won’t get $500.00 as promised and if you followed through with the video and decided to purchase this ‘beta Program’ for $47.00- you also weren’t going to get that $47.00 either. This entire scheme is very obscure, but everyone on the internet warns and agrees that this is all FAKE, this same type of thing popped up a couple of months ago during the 2017 Holiday Season, and then it disappears.. so my guess is that these people lure you into buying this "program" and then they disappear off the web. Even if they only snag 10 people they’re making close to $500.00. I wanted to bring this to the attention of the BBB with the hope that less people might fall victim if there is a legitimate credible source reporting this, and not just a majority on the internet.
