Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Was trying to sell some antique chairs on Craigslist..scammer responded online..then sent me a check much higher than was discussed !? .Told person too much but said was all good..etc..Sent my check in Priority Mail envelope..2 day…check came ..and the USPS Tracking # is 9405 5126 9935 0102 9570 79. ..shipping date 5/25/18..It came to my apartment complex..no apt#. ..I took to my bank to deposit..but fortunately the teller told me this was a scam..even though she made out a deposit slip..and did not pay attentiin..until I clicked in my head myself!!..She retrieved it ..and said would not have paid..checked and no such info..ALL using other peoples info??..My mom told me about this web site..as she heard about this on the radio last week!!!!
