I thought I was in the process of purchasing a puppy from a couple in Galveston, TX. They said they were going to ship the puppy via the company (Expert Pets Runner) and she would arrive the same day. The couple said I needed to pay the shipping cost of $250, which I did. A few minutes later I began receiving emails about the so called status of my puppy. Then, after a few hours, when the puppy was supposedly a few hours away, I received an email stating they had to put the delivery on hold due to her not having pet insurance and asked that I pay $1650 which would be a "100% refundable insurance deposit". I would receive the insurance deposit back via cash immediately upon the delivery of my pet. I did not make the deposit and received a follow up email the next morning stating that the insurance price would be reduced to $650.
