Same as Walmart Gift Card scam. Offered the opportunity to be a secret shopper, but when $2900.42 came in the mail before I did ANYTHING, I became suspicious & checked on Google.

I got a LinkedIn message from a friend. Here’s the content of the message:

This is to inform you about the GFK and LinkedIn on a research project in your area. This project happens every week,to evaluate,analyze and survey stores.$300 to $400 per each assignment. Each project requires 15 – 30 mins of your time. GFK will provide all costs required for the assignment and some other expenses included during the course of discharging your assignment.
RESEARCH DESCRIPTION:
*Assignment are based nearby and doesn’t require traveling.
*You are to finished the assignment as quick as possible.
*You will be requested to visit a business store in your area for the completion.

Once you complete your survey assignment within 1 working day you will be reward a bonus of $55 with your earn $400 for the 20 to 30 minutes store survey. i will wait to read from you as soon as possible.
I received a First Community Bank check of 2,900.42 from Andre M. Williams along with instructions. I was told to keep $400 and use $2,500 to buy five $500 eBay gift cards. Then I was told to take a picture of those cards, peel the silver scratch off from the back, then email the photos, along with a survey about my shopping experience
