Type of a scam Employment
First, I have been applying for a new job for a couple months now. I receive multiple emails and most look illegitimate, however this one looks very legit. You even communicate with a real life person through Google Hangouts! They ask you a series of questions to see if you are qualified for this $20-25/hour work-from-home data entry position. After that they tell you that you will receive a check that will cover your "work equipment", however, when you receive the check you are supposed to deposit and send them a picture of the deposit receipt. After that you are supposed to contact them via Google Hangouts again so they can guide you with the purchase. This seemed so out of the ordinary to me. I was a previous check casher’s teller and immediately identified the check to be bogus after I received it in the mail. I called the bank on the check to verify it was a fraudulent account, and they confirmed this.
