I keep getting calls for family members from different phone numbers with local exchanges. The wording left on VM is always the same. They are looking for either you or a family member of yours to server court documents, summons or subpoenas to in reference to a civil or criminal litigation proceeding. They do not give you any information other than a fake case number and a phone number to return their call (usually different than the number that appears on your caller ID.) They will also threaten to come to your home and place of work. Don’t be fooled. If you contact them they will start trying to extort money from you by promising to make this whole thing go away for a "small" settlement fee of X number of dollars.
