Type of a scam Employment
The guy texted me saying he found my resume online and asked if I would be interested in doing an interview. I already thought it was weird but I said yes. He later told me to download the Google Hangouts app and we did an interview over that. I answered some questions and he told me what the job duties were going to be which included being able to write and communicate well. This was funny because his grammar was horrendous. He then said that he would send my answers over to the board and they’ll get back to me. 10 minutes later, I was hired. The pay would have been direct deposit and $40/hr with a minimum of 30 hours a week. They said they would send me a check to purchase the equipment I would need. That’s when I was like “hold up, that is weird and sounds like a scam.” They emailed me an agreement (from a gmail account) that just said “sign and send back.” I never did sign anything and started to ask them questions about their company. I asked who some of their recent clients were and they replied with “so many.”
