Type of a scam Identity Theft
I received a text message from a Florida number saying that it was from Payday America. I called the number to respond to the text message that said I was approved for a loan and a foreigner answered the phone telling me that I was approved for a loan that I applied for online. Granted I did apply for a loan but not with this company this is my automatic red flag. The gentleman on the phone asked me for the loan amount in which I was requesting and gave me a payment amount that had no interest this was also a red flag. He then proceeded to ask me to send an email to [email protected] with all of my personal information including bank account and routing number Social Security, address, phone number and full name. I researched the number to the company he was supposedly representing and called the company directly and was informed that they do not even work out of the state of Florida and that they do not send customers text messages. At this point I was 100% sure that this was a scam.
