Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I received a package from US Postal Service, priority mail at my door. Upon opening, I discovered a check for right under $2000, along with instructions for a survey evaluation. I was to go to walmart, kroger, or various other places to buy $1600 worth of ebay gift cards, not tell the cashier/attendant what I was doing, scratch off the silver strip, take a picture of the "report" (ie, the codes) to the email and phone number listed in the instructions. I was to complete the task today or tomorrow. By completing the task today, I was to get an extra $200 on my next assignment.
