I was online trying to access Home Depot when a box came up that said I had malware and virus accessing my computer. The box said to contact apple support immediately or I could have all of my information exposed. The web address was legitimate for apple support – I called the number attached. The said they were Easy Help Net. com – third party for virus protection for apple. they sent go to assist to access my computer. I could watch them. They showed me where my computer was breached. Scanned for virus – then said I needed virus protection and firewall protection. They told me clean up was 249.99 and then showed me a web site for WebSecure – told me I needed to select my option -$2600 had to pay with credit card. Used Capital One – had to verify. Called this morning to report that was a scam. They are helping me. I did get the Web Secure Software loaded and it appeared to be valid but a $24 download they put on my computer. The whole process took 3 hours at least. I talked to three different people and at the end a service manager. The gave me contact information I will post. I deleted the software – I have since bought Norton. I called the customer service number they gave me and gave them my customer ID – told them I accidentally deleted the software. They wanted access again – I declined and hung up and began to take steps to report this to protect my self. Below is the information they provided me;
