Type of a scam Employment
I was contacted by Preston Kemp from Durham Solutions Shop Evaluators, a Mystery Shopping evaluating firm. He sent me an email and we talked on the phone a few times. He then mailed me a cheque and told me to deposit it and once it had cleared I was to contact him again.
He gave me a mystery shop assignment. However, the cheque had been returned by the bank. I called Preston on Thursday Feb 11th to advise him of that and have not heard back from him since and have not been able to get through to anyone via phone or email.
Although I have not given them any personal details other than my mailing address, I cannot figure out what they are getting out of this.
