A individual claiming to be a lawyer called my parents telling them he had their social numbers knew where they worked and asked to speak to me because I owed a loan company from 2019. Said if I didn’t pay they would take me to court so I needed to set up payment arrangements. When I called and spoke to him he got my email address and was supposed to send me e documents and never did so when I called back the number directly linked to the lawyer! Not customer service

Received phone call stating i owed two different payday loans from years back. They claimed they were hired by the payday loan companies to collect the debt. They could not give me any information as to which payday loan companies they worked for. They also called my husband looking for me.

I got a call from a lady named Ashley from DRG, a credit reporting agency, who doesn’t not report to to the credit bureaus, stating i took out an online loan back in 2012. She said i did not pay the loan back and i owed $640 and the loan was given to me by Bel Capitol Corp. I told her it wasn’t mine and also asked for her to provide me the number to the company because I wanted to contact them myself. Ashley said she didn’t haven’t the information of the reporting company. I have dealt with collections before personally and I have never heard of any of this nonsense she gave me. I was not mean to her but I was firm and stood by my answers and all she could do was stutter. She also told me if I googled the company name, that I could find the number. I could hear the strokes of a keyboard so I told her since you have already looked it up, why don’t you give me the number. She did give it to me but told me there is not a guarantee that Bel Capitol would have my info because DRG has it. Also she had contacted my parents first before calling me. Never in the several times I have had a collection, has the agency called anyone before me. This is a scam!!

Called me on my cell phone and they read off my email address and my last four digits of my social security number and claimed I committed a fraud through my account at Key Bank which has been closed several years. They said I applied for an on line loan and I owed around $870. I never received any money into that account other than my social security payments. They said they would note that and hung up. The phone number that was used is 877-238-4591.
