Received letter in mail stating business DOT# was past due & needed to be completed or face deactivation of USDOT # & civil penalties up to $1,000 per day, not to exceed $10,000.
Has a website listed: www.DotService.com, phone: 855-368-7233, & email: [email protected]
bottom of letter has: DOT Service is not part of the Department of Transportation on letter & a words along bottom of website
No address, person to contact listed on the letter. There is a website & I initially went there to leave a message & when looking it up, saw warning sites about a scam. Many listed sites as a scam
Fortunately, I did not proceed & am contacting you for verification on this matter.
Please look into this as I believe this is not valid.
