Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill
Bad people. Quoted replacement of a low mileage engine stated 48,000mi for a price of $4900 installed. Provided when asked for engine serial number and VIN. Provided a fake serial number. Engine arrived and after suspicious actions back checked from the engine supplier found they switched the engine to a 103,000mi engine. Then, provided $4,000 extra work required. When caught and confronted by my lawyers they denied it. Then admitted the supplier sent wrong engine. Only after we did our own investigative work.
The invoice for extra work was fraudulent with parts and labor that was not required or doubled up. Hired an independent mechanic that audited it confirm fraud.
Cancelled the contract. Extra lawyers and consultants and investigators. How about the many that didn’t do what we did? Defrauded!
These guys need to be in jail. And out of business. Where is our Attorney General?
