Type of a scam Healthcare/Medicaid/Medicare

I was offered DNA testing by this company. They swabbed my cheek and took all my personal information including my insurance information. I was told I would have results in 4 to 6 weeks. It’s been two months. I’ve called And left several messages. Nobody has returned my call. I am afraid this is a scam business and now they have all my personal information.

I am a detective with the South Kingstown, RI Police Department. On 06/04/2019 a local supermarket was approached by a "Chris Eidam" a field agent for "Direct Medical Testing. The supermarket agreed to allow him to set up a genetic cancer screening tent outside of the business. The field agents would approach primarily elderly shoppers and offer to take a DNA swab for the purpose of submitting the swab for analysis to test for genetic markers that increase the risk for cancer. A citizen found this suspicious and advised the store that they believed it was a scam to obtain Medicaid information for fraudulent billing. It was determined that the practice is not registered with the state of Rhode Island. Chris Eidam was contacted, he advised that as far as he knew he was working for a legitimate business. At this time we do not have any criminal complaints, however this does not appear to be a legitimate operation.
